What did you study?

I thoroughly enjoyed studying Biology, Maths and Chemistry A levels! Not for the fainthearted…

What are your plans for the future?

I am attending the University of Bristol to read Civil Engineering, with a Masters to follow after a year abroad, hopefully.

What makes JCG distinctive/unique?

JCG is a perfect environment to discover your unique character during the critical journey from age 11 to 18. From the moment you are allocated your ‘house’, you belong! JCG will empower you to learn, play sport, perform and be the best you can be in an place you’ll be proud to be a part of.

What advice would you give to a prospective Sixth Form student?

The best advice I can say is to hit the ground running! In every aspect of the Sixth Form: new proactive studying routines, organisation and getting involved in the countless fun activities Sixth Form brings. Most importantly: have so SO much fun. Sixth Form is a transformative experience, embrace the change and unfamiliarity. Remember that diamonds are made under pressure.

History, Classical Civilisations, and Media Studies.

What are your future plans?

Do some museum work for a year or so after university and then go into teaching history.

What makes JCG distinctive/unique?

The sense of community and the teachers - I genuinely think my time at JCG, especially in Sixth Form, was made all the better because of how brilliant the teachers are.

What advice would you give a prospective Sixth Form student?

Spend your free periods doing homework, it is worth it! Do wider reading and don’t be afraid to ask your teachers questions about your A levels or Higher Education.
