Farah Ballands

Président

Farah chairs the boards of two regulated businesses, Equiom and HTCI, an HSBC entity. A commercial/trusts lawyer by background, Farah was a partner with offshore law firm Appleby for 12 years before leading the management buyout of its fiduciary businesses to private equity firm, Bridgepoint, in 2015. She was CEO of that business and subsequently of Ocorian until her retirement from executive roles in 2021. Farah was educated at JCG as was her daughter

James Willmott

Vice-président

Fort de 15 ans d'expérience en droit des sociétés, James est associé au bureau de Jersey du cabinet d'avocats offshore Carey Olsen. Après des passages à Londres, Bratislava, Singapour et Birmingham, il conseille des clients sur des transactions internationales importantes et très médiatisées et sur des questions locales. James a rejoint le conseil d'administration en 2019 et siège aux sous-comités de la gouvernance, du bien-être et des finances et de l'immobilier, et sa fille aînée fréquente JCG.

Chris Jenkins

Chris est directeur général de TORA, une entreprise technologique spécialisée dans les systèmes de trading et de portefeuille pour les institutions financières. Chris travaille dans le secteur des fintech depuis plus de 20 ans dont 12 ans en Asie. Il s'est installé à Jersey depuis Hong Kong avec sa famille en 2015, et ses trois filles fréquentent toutes le JCG. Chris préside le sous-comité des finances et de l'immobilier.

Alison Morgan

Juriste d'entreprise et de télécommunications/technologie de formation, Alison est titulaire d'une licence en langues modernes de l'UCL, où elle a également obtenu une maîtrise en littérature. Elle a travaillé comme juriste d'entreprise à Londres et à Bruxelles pour les cabinets d'avocats internationaux Herbert Smith et Bird&Bird, avant d'occuper un poste de juriste interne dans une entreprise de télécommunications qui a été introduite à la Bourse de Londres. Alison a ensuite fondé le département de gestion des connaissances du cabinet juridique Ogier à Jersey et a trois enfants, dont deux sont au GJC. Elle préside le sous-comité du bien-être et siège également au conseil d'administration de la fondation du GJC.

Kirstie Greig

Kirstie est médecin en médecine d'urgence à l'hôpital général. Elle a rejoint le conseil d'administration en 2018 et siège au sein des sous-comités du bien-être et des admissions.

Ed Thorogood

A Director of Mourant Governance Services, Ed and has worked in strategy, IT, change programmes and operational roles. Previously, Ed worked for PwC Europe and competed in the Clipper Round the World Yacht race. Ed’s daughters attend JCP and JCG. Ed joined the board of Governors in 2019 and Chairs the Governance and the Admissions & marketing sub-committees. He also sits on the board of the JCG Foundation.

Andrew Jarvis

Andy est un leader technologique avec 20 ans d'expérience dans les services financiers offshore et les télécommunications. Il est spécialisé dans le conseil stratégique, la transformation numérique et les fusions-acquisitions. Il est passionné par la santé mentale et est un secouriste en santé mentale. Il a deux filles à JCG et a rejoint le Conseil des gouverneurs en 2021. Andy siège au sous-comité du bien-être et au sous-comité des admissions et du marketing.

Susie Pinel

Gouverneur invité

Prior to entering politics, Susie worked in art restoration for the British royal family for eleven years, repairing miniature portraits which were damaged in the Windsor Castle fire, for which she received a Royal Warrant.  Susie has served the island in various roles within the States Assembly, as Deputy for St Clement , the Minister for Social Security, and the Minister for Treasury and Resources between 2011 and 2022.  Susie joined the Board of Governors in February 2024 and sits on the Finance and Property Sub-Committee.

Elizabeth Boleat

JCP Parent Governor

Educated at JCG, Elizabeth went on to gain a PhD in chemical physics from UCL and then a medical degree at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ school of medicine. She trained as an anaesthetic doctor and worked in London for a number of years. She has now returned to Jersey and is currently on a career break raising her five children, four of whom are at JCP.  Elizabeth currently sits on the Admissions & Marketing Sub-Committee.

Louise Godley

JCG Parent Governor

Louise is a banking and finance lawyer currently working at Kleinwort Hambros as a Senior Legal Counsel. She has previous legal experience working in law firms and banks in Jersey, London, Vienna and Luxembourg. Louise has two daughters who both attend JCG and she joined the Board of Governors in 2024.

Simon Lewis

Whole College Staff Governor

Educated at King's School, Worcester and then Trinity College, Cambridge, Simon joined JCG in 1998 and has been Head of the Mathematics, Computing and Economics Faculty at JCG since 2016. From 2012-2014 Simon was given a planned two-year sabbatical to teach as Head of Maths at Dulwich College, Suzhou, and was a member of Jersey's Statistics Users Group from 2019-2022. Simon has a daughter at JCG and has a particular interest in increasing opportunities for students to extend their learning outside the classroom.
